Sports Programs

Oregon PVA promotes and provides sporting and recreational events, activities, education and funding for persons with mobility impairments. The sports program promotes all sporting activities including the following.  For more information please click the below links.

Deep Sea Fishing
There is nothing like a sea breeze blowing in your face while telling fish stories about the one that got away. Each year Oregon PVA charters the “Kadaho” at Depoe Bay so the members have the opportunity to go Deep Sea fishing and limit out on crab.

Wheelchair Basketball
Oregon PVA has partnered with Oregon Disability sports in the hopes of bringing competitive wheelchair basketball back to the state of Oregon.  We are also running the 3 on 3 basketball circuit with he OPVA patriots. The team put on an exhibition on center court at the Hoopla in downtown Salem. Click here to see Photos of the Hoopla event.

Quad Rugby
Oregon PVA are proud to have members participate in this sport at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games each year.

National Veterans Wheelchair Games
Each year the Oregon PVA does its best to send as many athletes as we can to participate in this national event. click here for the 2013 registration packet.  The games offer an opportunity for the members to gather with other athletes and try new activities. Click here for a peek at NVWG event.

Trapshooting
The Leupold Oregon PVA trapshooting team is working on qualifying for the National Trapshoot.  With the help of donors and sponsors such as Leupold we are turning the teams dream into a reality. Good luck team!
