National Guard members spending more time training

Changes to the Army National Guard are resulting in more days that soldiers are away from home for training and deployment.
A Department of Defense agency known as Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is reaching out to local employers to help them understand the changes, which mean that in some years soldiers will be required to train for at least 63 days instead of 39.
VA and Small Business Administration team up to help Veteran entrepreneurs

VA is working with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide education and support to disabled Veterans interested in self-employment.
VA’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) entered into an agreement with the SBA Office of Veterans Business Development in early December to provide self-employment guidance, assistance and on-the-job training to disabled Veterans.
