"Oregon Wounded Warrior" disabled person parking permit effective January 1, 2019
Senate Bill 1506, which established the "Oregon Wounded Warrior" disabled person parking permit, was passed in the 2018 regular session but will not become effective until January 1, 2019. We apologize for any confusion caused by our coverage of the bill in our most recent issue of Vets News.
The bill creates the parking designation for veterans with a service-connected disability rating of 50 percent or greater. Veterans must also have been discharged under other than dishonorable conditions to qualify. Those who receive this designation will be able to enjoy free and unlimited parking in any time-limited or metered spaces within Oregon without penalty.
