Darrel Ackerman | Advocacy Director
Served in the Army in the mid 60’s. He became a T-12 paraplegic in 1972 due to a traffic accident. Graduated Bachelors of Science at the University of Oregon 1977 and Master of Science in 1979. He has been involved in accessibility since 1972 and has worked with Kevin O’Reilly for the last several years in building code training seminars.

Jack Howell | Sports Director

Served in the Marines in the mid 60’s. He was wounded two times. He will be going to the National Veterans Wheelchair Games this year for the third time and has also been to the Winter Sports clin ic in Aspen, CO. He is now volunteering for the Sports program at OPVA. |
