Oregon PVA to Receive Bob Webb Excellence in a Newsletter Award
Salem, OR- On behalf of the Oregon Paralyzed Veterans of America, we are pleased to announce that Kristin Chiles, Editor of the Oregon Chapter's (Oregon PVA) Paralog, has been chosen to receive the 2006 Bob Webb Excellence in a Newsletter Award on behalf of Oregon PVA as the "Most Improved" chapter newsletter.
Annually, PVA chapter editors are encouraged to submit one copy of their most recent newsletter and one issue from the previous year. The newsletters are then rated on quality of contents, format, design and appearance, consistency of reporting on chapter and national activities, relevance to PVA members, timeliness of copy, and original and creative reporting.
The award was created by PVA's Board of Directors to honor Robert L. Webb, who for many years, served as editor of PVA's Paraplegia News, and to recognize excellence in a chapter newsletter. The Oregon Chapter will be presented with the award at PVA's 60th Annual Convention awards reception brunch on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at the Westin Horton Plaza Hotel in San Diego, CA.
