You Can Make A Difference Too!
Oregon PVA is one of 36 chapters and 9 subchapters with our National office located in Washington, D.C. We received our charter by the United States Congress in 1976. On the local level, just to mention a few of the many accomplishments Oregon PVA has and is still making a difference in is: making fishing docks accessible to the disabled community, supporting the annual free fishing days for children, the first organization to start the handicapped parking enforcement program, accessibility at the Rose Garden, advocating for no self-service gas pumping, building code enforcement, and monitoring businesses accessibility and parking compliance.
On a larger scale nationally, OPVA has and continues to advocate for veteran`s health care and VA issues and continues to push for legislative changes on issues that affect veterans and the disabled community.
The primary success and growth of Oregon PVA is it`s membership. Not only do we have regular & associate members throughout Oregon, but also throughout all of the United States and Canada.
