Legislation Program

Oregon PVA will act on all legislation at all levels of government through: initiation, formulation and the definition of legislation that is in the best interest of veterans and physically disabled citizens.

Join Our New Forum: NW Disabled Veterans Discussion Group
Forum Purpose: This forum is established so that members of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, living in the Pacific Northwest, disabled veterans and veterans, have an opportunity to discuss issues which affect them. This includes state and federal legislation, health care related issues, whether through the VA or other sources, VA benefits, recreational activities, giving folks the opportunity to find those of like interests and most anything those who participate in the forum may desire. The Misuse of Disabled Parking Permits....Full Story



The Advocacy/Legislative Seminar and Congressional meetings went very well. One of the new concepts discussed was to establish a Chapter Action Committee for advocacy and legislation. This would be a group of 6-10 chapter members that would send email and place calls to Senators and Representatives on upcoming legislation. The members of the committee should come from each congressional district in the state. Please call Oregon PVA if you are interested.
